Set in the sparkling blue Atlantic ocean, only
one hundred miles off the coast of Africa, Tenerife is on
the same latitude as Florida and California, and shares the
same balmy sub-tropical climate. It’s the largest of
what – in the Middle Ages – were aptly called
“The Fortunate Isles”, now known of course, as
The Canary Islands. |
 |
An island of startling contrasts, Tenerife is dominated
by Mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain.
To the North the fertile landscape is green and lush,
with banana plantations, pine and eucalyptus trees,
and wild bougainvillea, nasturtiums and geraniums climbing
over white walls.
While in the South the sun shines from a cloudless sky
on ochre volcanic rocks and miles of black, grey or
golden beaches. |

The people of Tenerife are amongst the friendliest in the
world, welcoming visitors with a warm smile and generous hospitality.
Tenerife has something for everyone, whether it’s lively
nightlife in Playa de las Americas, the sophistication of
Playa de las Americas or Puerto de la Cruz, shopping in Santa
Cruz, the Island’s capital, or picnicking in the fragrant
pine forests of Las Cañadas, the National Park of Tenerife.
On the Southern coast of Tenerife, Playa de las Americas is
an exciting resort with a wide variety of bars, clubs and
restaurants catering for every taste. There is a superb beach
and pr5omenade with a host of other attractions including
almost every kind of watersport, boat trips, fishing excursions
and even a water slide park for family fun! You’ll find

On the North side of the island, an hour’s drive
away from our resorts, sophisticated Puerto de la Cruz
is a beguiling blend of traditional and modern. A visit
to the famous Lido Martianez or Botanical gardens makes
an enjoyable day out.
Tenerife is rich in history and local folklore, and
famous for its lively and colourful fiestas which occur
